Save the dates have become trendy over the past few years, but not every wedding needs them. Send them if you are having a destination wedding or have a lot of people coming from out of town for your wedding, but otherwise, they may be an unnecessary expense that you can apply toward some other part of your wedding. You are probably going to post to social media or call the most important people anyway.
